Operations Control
The Operations Control Officer is responsible for the operational planning and consulting of flights. His/her duties are:
- determine whether a particular flight is operationally and technically feasible.
- determine the availability of aircraft and flight crew considering technical limitations of the aircraft and crew duty time limitations
- taking due account of all regulations relevant to the flight
- determine fuel availability at airfields and paying due regard to economic and environmental considerations
- initiate, delay or cancel a flight, if necessary establishing communication channels
